If you’re a Mac user and fed up with the seemingly Holy Trinity of Apple’s Mail, Entourage or Eudora, you might want to give PowerMail a try.
Since switching over to PowerMail four years ago after chancing upon a copy on friends aging PowerBook, I haven’t looked back. The application has always been lean, mean and possibly very dangerous to the rest of the competition because it is so good.

Sure, there aren’t any fancy bangs or whistles in PowerMail. Think clean, efficient, European design and you’re almost there. But what it lacks in finesse, it makes up for in solid features like:
Version 5.5 saw the light of day just over a week ago. If you haven’t tried PowerMail yet, you might want to give it a go. The latest release is now a Universal application running natively on Intel and PowerPC Macs, working on Mac OS X 10.3.9 and 10.4.x.
