In the United States, New Years is creeping up quickly. With less than three weeks before the big party in Times Square and the millions upon millions of New Years parties throughout the country, its time to start evaluating possible resolutions.

Weight loss, more money, finding love and having better grades are all resolutions that one is sure to hear amongst friends and family. The intentions behind creating resolutions are innocent and great, however, many lose track of their goals and never reach them not because of lazyness, but poor planning.

Start by creating a life inventory. A simple piece of paper, documenting all of the goals you currently have, along with new ones you want to take on next year. Don’t be shy, write them all down! When you’re making your list, make sure you use the left side of the paper only and use one line per goal.

Once you are done writing all of your goals, begin with the first two and decide, “Which of these two objectives is more important?” Then move along to the next two, etc. Repeat this process until you end up with the single most important goal for you to accomplish in 2007.

After this objective is met, continue the process and determine what your next goal should be. Its a smart way to really get down and decide what is most important to you!
