Last time, I featured a set of 10 rules for dieters. Now here’s my version of a driver’s 10 rules of the road.
Safe driving should be a prerequisite of having a driver’s license. However, it’s a sad fact that not all legal drivers on the road bear justice to their license. I just hope everyone just follows these rules so that we’d always have a safe trip (fat chance!).
- I shall obey all traffic laws.
- I shall drive within the safe speed limits.
- I shall be alert when driving and never drink and drive.
- I shall always use my signal lights to let other drivers know my intent.
- I shall make a full stop at all intersections even if there are no stoplights or stop signs.
- I shall slow down at schools, hospitals, playgrounds, and other zones.
- I shall slow down when dusk hits.
- I shall dim my lights when approaching other cars at night.
- I shall respect the motorists’ and pedestrians’ right of way.
- I shall not pass on yellow lanes, curves, hills, or where there are blind spots on the road.
