One of the features of Word 2007 that I like is search highlighting. Actually, this isn’t really that unique a feature. The Google toolbar has had this feature and it’s probably one of the great things with the Google toolbar. In any case, I digress. This post’s about Word 2007.
The feature’s called Reading Highlight [...]
The dining room is one of the most significant rooms on the house. It is one place where you meet with all your family members and talk about how your day went. Complete with good food, and dining room becomes a central part of every household. Bring positive energy, good health, and harmony into your [...]

No, it’s just not wrinkles on the forehead or the crow’s feet. You can have botox treatments for those. Another sign that betrays our age is hyperpigmentation. Uneven skin tone and dark spots can give away aging or, worse, make you look older than you actually are. Recent studies have shown that our skin tone [...]

In-betweeners, tweens, or pre-teens are getting a lot of attention from the marketing and advertising industry. These two market segments play a large role on the allocation of the family budget. Their influence is very strong that the buyer (which may be a parent or a grandparent), out of strong affection for them, would eventually [...]
Good thing I’m one of the lucky people who got to experience the new version of Gmail (so is it still in Beta?). No fancy re-skinnings here for this one but it sure gives some tweaks in the interface functionalities and speed thanks to a JavaScript rewrite on the back end of the technology.

The administrator confirmation pop-ups are quite annoying. And I really don’t get it why the guys from Microsoft decided that the best security for your computer is to bother you with all their nagging. In any case, while you can do some serious spelunking in Vista to override the damn thing, you might just [...]

The scariest night of the year and you don’t even know how to carve a pumpkin for one of those good ol’ jack-o-lanterns. Tsk. Tsk. Tsk. Don’t fret. Carving a pumpkin is easy provided that you’re not too clumsy with a paring knife.

I was at the health and beauty section buying my usual personal effects and I overheard this lady looking for mineral makeup. Wondering what’s all the fuss about mineral makeup, I googled it as soon as I reached home. Turns out, mineral makeup has become increasingly popular these days. Instead of allergenic face paint, why [...]
Oh never mind if they say Al Gore’s a loon or that global warming is a myth. There’s nothing wrong with being a bit concerned with the environment. Fighting global warming may seem a daunting task that is better left to the government to handle. But the government and the scientists need all the help [...]

One thing about Word is that, once you type in something that has “http://”, “www.” and a “.com” in a sequence, it automatically creates a hyperlink pointing to that specific URL. While keyboard ninjas would swear by Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V combo. There are still more ways to create hyperlinks in Microsoft Word. Here’s a nifty [...]

There’s not much you can do in terms of some creep stealing your laptop physically from you. Unless, of course, you try to strap it to yourself with cuffs and shackles. But sometimes, all the security you need is from that bozo from the next cubicle who’d like to mess with your computer when you’re [...]

Here’s one super neat trick, a friend of mine shared to me. Since she’s working the more or less clerical post she usually has to draft and format corporate communication in a flash. And one underrated (sometimes even berated) features of Word is the AutoCorrect feature. Well, I haven’t really thought about it until [...]

Editing on-screen can be a bore and a headache. For me, the best way to go is to still edit on paper. However, if you live in a paperless universe, then you may have to make do with what you have on your computer. If you have Word 2007, then you might just have [...]
