Perfume

Perfumes and colognes come with a hefty price. And nicer (and pricier) ones can actually get you a long way. But how do you keep them potent over time. It isn’t cool to open your favorite bottle only to find out that it has gotten way too stale especially if you’re hooking up with someone special for the night. Here are some tips to help you preserve that scent.

Perfumes are oil based and store well. However, it still is a precaution to keep the bottle sealed tight. And it’s more necessary with colognes since they’re alcohol-based. Keep the cap sealed tight. It would also help to store the bottle in its original package for insurance.

If you plan to keep your fragrances, don’t store them in room temperature. Hide them somewhere cool avoiding direct sunlight. A safer measure is to keep them inside the fridge at just below 7 degrees Celsius.

The bottle is still the best container for your fragrance but keep it clean also helps preserve the scent. Dirt can easily clog up the stopper and the nozzle. Anything mucky that mixes with your scent can affect it in a bad way. So keep the bottle and everything on it, clean.
