Still at home away from the “rigors” of college life. Spending all of your time bumming around, perhaps? Oh you can do better than that while exploiting your parents’ hospitality. Try helping around the house. Here are five things you can help around with.
Bake a dessert. If your mom is making dinner, you can make the dessert. You’ll make her work easier plus you contribute to the family table aside from your presence. Try easy-to-cook recipes so that it doesn’t take up too much time.
Clean your yard. If your dad doesn’t like mowing the lawn, then maybe you can do it for him. Just think of ways on how you can do this chore with a a bit of fun. You can plug in your earphones while you mow. You’ll clean up the yard after a few tracks. Just beware of thunderstorms when you’ve got your iPod strapped on.
Clean car leaks. Remove car oil stains from your garage floor by spraying oven cleaner. Leave it for about 15 minutes then scrub with a brush. Rinse thoroughly with water.
Bring back shine to your stove top. Gave up on scraping off the greasy stuff on your stove top? The easiest way to clean it is to clean it as soon as you stain it You can use a pan scraper or anything that can scrape off grease on a surface. Your stove top should be always glimmering clean because you use it for your food.
Walk the dog. If you don’t want to gain any paunch while breezing away through the summer, why not get out and walk the dog. It’s good exercise for the two of you.
