Ever wonder what your name means? Or are you a soon-to-be parent looking for a name for your child? Here’s a neat tool that lets you in on what’s in a name.

Pesonaemicon is a simple offline version of the Personaemicon website which has access to 4000+ names in its database.

It has a simple interface that features a table and fields for name input. You can narrow down searches by origin and gender. Plus it has a random button that, well, chooses a name out of random (please, don’t do this when naming your child!). It works from Windows 98 to XP.

Now, don’t be disappointed if your name turns out to be shitty. I bet your parents never had access to these tools back in the day.
