So you get home, wash your face and go to bed. It’s time to rethink your night rituals and consider one of the most important rituals you’ve been neglecting — exfoliation. Now you ask, “Isn’t washing my face enough?”. Answer: NO. There is a need to exfoliate because dead skin cells are still stuck in your skin. Exfoliation renews your skin and gives it a healthy glow which you need to look naturally gorgeous. Just think, these dead cells clog your pores and that’s the reason your skin looks dull. Take action! Get silky-soft skin now.
Try scrubs. Coffee beans, walnuts, jojoba beads, synthetic spheres, sugar or coarse salt mixed with a skin softener work as a dead skin remover. You can use this mixture to maintain cleanliness on blackhead-prone areas. Suspended in oil scrubs like sugar and salts are good treatments for super dry skin. These could be used as an in-shower moisturizers. Scrub then shave.
You can also use a towel or a loofah to scrub your body. The best time to exfoliate is when your pores have opened. This happens when you wash your face with warm water.
For best results, consult your dermatologist to discuss a skin problem or a breakout. If you notice that regular face and acne treatments have no effect on your skin, ask your dermatologist for a prescription. Neglected acne can cause scars which will turn out to be more problematic than the pimples you’re having.
