No quick tip for today, read that: emergency! Why? Mozilla Firefox will be relaunching its add-on site by Feb. 12 and part of the launch will be the removal of thousands of add-ons from its list.

Mozilla is apparently doing this to streamline the list for new users. Let’s face it, add-ons have been the favorite playthings of intermediate to advanced users.

Still, they will be supporting the development of add-ons only new and untried ones will be moved to a “sandbox” area to find out which will be the better ones for popular use.

So for those of you who might want to install an add-on or two, better do them now. We just might now see some of our wanted add-ons again!
