Better GReader

If you’re a hardcore Google services, you still might be wanting a few things tweaked here and there. But hey, we get to use them for free so there’s really no point in whining and complaining. It’s a good thing we have our friendly neighborhood add-on makers and scripters to make our Googling just a bit better. Last time, we featured this great Firefox add-on to tweak Google search and a handful of other services- CustomizeGoogle, now we have 3 Google services tweaks that uses the Greasemonkey add-on.

Lifehacker has been putting our tremendous Greasemonkey script tweaks for Google services. Here are 3 (in my humble opinion) must-have Greasemonkey scripts for Google users.

Better Gmail

A real must-have for Gmail users. This script almost makes Gmail a monster. It cleans out the by using a cleaner “Air skin.” It also allows you to add links to other Google services. It puts a “Compose in Gmail” link beside all mailto links. It uses attachment icons for better attachment management. And those are just few of the many other features of this great script.

Better GCal

Notice the “Better” pattern. Yes, it’s amazing how these scripts make Google services pack more punch. Better GCal’s a tweak for Google Calendar. It gives you new features like collapsing the Sidebar and Header, show a To-Do list and Show the Current Timeline. It even helps your security by forcing a secure connection.

Better GReader

You might have gotten the drift, this one’s for Google Reade, which is, so far, my favorite web-based RSS feed reader. And with Gears, it now is my overall favorite, hands down. Better GReader has got three prime features, which are a slick optimized skin, quick links, and an option to “Smart Subscribe.” Believe me, just a few features that really go a long way.
