JavaScript is nice. However, there’s a tendency for these scripts to be unresponsive at times and that’s when Firefox immediately bugs you to either continue and wait for the script to run or to just stop it. Now, many websites today run JavaScript and may not display the page properly if you “kill” the script. So to give the script just a bit more time before Firefox bugs you, here’s a little tweak.

• Access the about:config page.
• Find the dom.max_script_run_time preference name.
• Double-click on it to change the default integer value of 20 (meaning 20 seconds) to any of these possible values:
• • A value of > 20 for a longer allowance
  • A value of < 20 for a shorter allowance
• The changes take effect instantly.
