By default, Firefox’s search bar can only handle around 30 characters (depending on your resolution and number of buttons). Which is kind of a pain especially when your search string is quite long. And I do have made bad searches because of some unseen typos in the first part of my string that I didn’t get to correct before I hit “Enter.”
If you’re irritated by that default behavior, then this extension is for us – Searchbar Autosizer. It automatically expands your search bar depending on the lengths of your search keys. You can even set the search bar to be cleared upon submission.
