This add-on has been around for a long time now, I just keep forgetting to write about it. If you’re like me who has a habit of listening to music while browsing the web.

Sure players such as Winamp can be set as an always-on-top toolbar or Windows Media Player automatically shrinks into your Taskbar. But how about iTunes users? Wouldn’t it be great to have the interface shrunk to fit on Firefox? Yup, it’d be really great.

So here’s FoxyTunes, it’s an add-on that lets you control most media players in a customizable interface within Firefox. Plus you can access oodles of other information (lyrics, bios, album covers…) within Firefox.

It boasts a long-ish list of media players that I’m sure includes the one that you’re using right now:

WinAmp, iTunes, Yahoo Music Engine, Pandora, foobar2000, Windows Media Player, Xbox Media Center, Musicmatch, Quintessential, J. River, jetAudio, XMPlay, MediaMonkey, Media Player Classic, Sonique, wxMusik, Real Player, XMMS, Noatun, Juk, Amarok, Music Player Daemon, Rhythmbox and many other players.
