As a blogger, I have to deal with hyperlinks and link texts everytime. I even seldom use WordPress’ visual editor. The code editor just gives me a lot more control. While this functionality doesn’t have anything to do with the visual editor, it is such a pain to have to rewrite link texts and manually create the links.
CoLT or Copy Link Text is a Firefox add-on that gives you more flexibility when copying texts. Say if you’re going to right-click a hyperlink, you’d only see a Copy Link Location option. With CoLT, you can simply right-click and copy this link: The hottest new car blog!, pasting this would only get you this: The hottest new car blog!.
With CoLT, you don’t only get to copy the hyperlink text, you can also get to copy it as a tag ready for pasting. You can also choose from different tag systems like HTML, BBCode and even Wikipedia code.

1Why haven’t I heard of this before? I’m so glad you posted this - I don’t use the visual editor, either.
Thanks Alex!

2Eh… never heard of your site…
…hope it’s free of malicious source-code. Bahahahahaha!
Looks useful — will have to snag it from mozilla.com.
