Honestly, how many of the more advanced Firefox users use the Go button? I don’t. I think I never did. Hitting the Enter key never failed to work for me. So why not get rid of it? It saves up some space for all those other add-on buttons that you might have there. Here’s how:

• Access the about:config page.
• Find the browser.urlbar.hideGoButton preference name
• Double-click on it to change its value from false to true.
• The changes take effect instantly
