Palette Grabber

When doing web designs, it’s quite important that you come up with studies. One way to look for new ideas is to study existing designs and observe how well it plays around with design elements. Months ago, we featured ColorJack, a nifty tool to get some really good color palettes for your design. What’s great with it is that, it lets you choose great color schemes without having to know much about color theory. Best of all, it allows you to create a swatches for Photoshop and Illustrator.

But what if you can actually create color swatches directly from the model page that you’re viewing, now that would be a little more nifty. Palette Grabber is one handy add-on that lets you export colors from a displayed web page in Firefox (I believe from the CSS file) to an ACO (Adobe COlor file) which you can import to Photoshop, Flash, GIMP, and Paint Shop Pro.

All you have to do is to click the Palette Grabber icon (located at the extreme left of the status bar) or click Tools -> ” Export color palette” or hit Alt+T then C to export.
