I’m getting pretty bored waiting for Firefox 3, let’s just revisit a few tip and tricks that you can do with Firefox as it is now. While I have been a staunch advocate of keyboard ninjitsu with all the shortcuts, I have to admit that there are instances that I do some mousings too. Here are some ways that you can use that used-to-be useless middle mouse button.
The most basic ones that you can do with the middle mouse button concern our favorite Firefox innovation – tabs:
Open Link in Tab – Middle Click
Close Tab – Middle Click on Tab
And just in case your middle mouse button doubles as a scroller:
Decrease Text Size – Ctrl + Scroll Up
Increase Text Size – Ctrl + Scroll Down
Back – Shift + Scroll Down
Forward – Shift + Scroll Up
Scroll Line by Line – Alt + Scroll
