I’m getting pretty bored waiting for Firefox 3, let’s just revisit a few tip and tricks that you can do with Firefox as it is now. While I have been a staunch advocate of keyboard ninjitsu with all the shortcuts, I have to admit that there are instances that I do some mousings too. Here are some ways that you can use that used-to-be useless middle mouse button.

The most basic ones that you can do with the middle mouse button concern our favorite Firefox innovation - tabs:

Open Link in Tab - Middle Click
Close Tab - Middle Click on Tab

And just in case your middle mouse button doubles as a scroller:

Decrease Text Size - Ctrl + Scroll Up
Increase Text Size - Ctrl + Scroll Down
Back - Shift + Scroll Down
Forward - Shift + Scroll Up
Scroll Line by Line - Alt + Scroll
