Two days ago, I featured a Firefox add-on that tidies up the Downloads window by putting it in the status bar. If you don’t like the bar taking up just a bit more of your browsing space (especially those with lower definition screens), then this might be your alternative – Downloads in Tab.

It’s an add-on that, instead of letting the Downloads window just pop up, it opens it as a new tab. Simple as that.

It’s just an alternative to those who don’t want to take up space with Download Statusbar. If you prefer one with more bells and whistles, better go with Download Statusbar. If you want an alternative, then you may go with this.
