Screengrab

If you’re a blogger or reviewer, taking screencaps can be a real chore. That is, if you don’t invest on a good screen capturing software. Of the ones I’ve tried, Techsmith’s SnagIt is my favorite. However, you have to pay around $40 for it. Firing up Photoshop (or GIMP) can really slow you down too and that Print Screen button wouldn’t allow you to capture scrolling windows.

In any case, if screen capturing websites is your only chore, then you might want too look at this handy piece of add-on that lets you grab screenshots directly from Firefox - Screengrab! You can practically grab and save any portion of the web page from a small selection (by clicking and dragging) to the whole page scrolled down and to the extreme right. It basically saves a web page as an image.

You don’t even have to launch an image editor since it can save your image as JPG or PNG (which is becoming the more common format nowadays).
