I’ve been a hands down Firefox fan and a loyal Google user. I’ve had this installed a while back and I just keep forgetting to post about it - CustomizeGoogle. It’s a must-have for any hardcore user of Google Search and other Google services. Well, since I am, I hardly could think about life without this little tool.
It’s main strong point (and it’s got a lot of others too) is its ability to let you filter search results like doing away with results that show online market places. Like if you search for a book title, chances are you’d get the Amazon.com link as a result. You can just click on a “Filter” link that shows beside the result so that the next time you search for something, results from Amazon will be filtered out. You can also eliminate the ads that show up with the results. Even better, CustomizeGoogle places links to other search engines to broaden your search.
While contains a heck of a lot of features, the search result filtering alone makes it worth the download. In any case, some other worthwhile features that you might want to try out are the following:
