Image Zoom

Way back, we featured this little about:config tweak to control image resizing in Firefox. This little tweak allows you to automatically shrink the image to fit the page. However, Firefox doesn’t allow full functionality over zooming in and out of an image, so here’s an add-on that would let you do just that.

Image Zoom is an add-on that allows you to zoom in to, zoom out of, zoom to fit, and custom zoom into any image loaded in your Firefox browser. Once installed, the add-on creates an option in your context menu (right-click) giving you different zoom options to an image. Pretty straightforward.

For practical purposes I find it particularly useful with forums where you usually have unusually large images posted that prompt you to scroll sideways.
