Beer

Forget government warnings. Even drinking moderately could have its side effects for some people. Alcohol plainly messes with your body chemistry. Here are five reasons to pace yourself while gulping down alcohol.

Sleeping disorders. Alcohol prevents the body from reaching the deepest parts of sleep and when that happens, the body doesn’t get fully rested.

Vitamin deficiency. Too much alcohol can cause Vitamin B1 deficiency. B1 deficiency’s symptoms are enough to cause trouble – depression, behavior changes, chronic fatigue and chest pains. Worst case – neurological problems (loss of memory and muscle coordination).

Takes a while to sober up. Been drinking and lost track of how many shots or bottles you’ve downed so far? Want to sober up real quick? Naturally, you just can’t. It takes an hour for your system to cycle out a shot of whiskey or 12-ounce can of beer.

Getting hung over. The morning after sleeping drunk is probably the worst part of drinking. Head pounding. Mouth dry. And even aspirin wouldn’t drive your headache away.

Accidents. Most road accidents are caused by drunk driving. Many pedestrian accidents also involve drunk pedestrians. And statistics would also show that drunkenness is one of the leading causes of accidents in general – falls, drowning, burns and physical injury resulting from assault.
