That’s the way it is. The New Year means a new pile of all the good stuff: more opportunities to further career, another chance at love, and maybe even a new outlook in life. If you’ve been in the dumps, failed at your every attempt at promotion, or just plain depressed, then you better get a grip on the first day of January, because it’s time you get your life back on track.
School. It doesn’t exactly earn you a new semester, but a new year gives everyone an excuse to change ways. It’s probably pretty hard to shift gears coming from the winter break but there’s a lot to do. Change that D into a B by doing more homework and showing more enthusiasm in projects. It doesn’t take much to at least look interested in the lesson, so act involved. Sometimes, interest even without learning is the difference between passing and failing.
Career. That officemate you hate? Instead of scheming ways how to make him look bad in front of your boss, just learn to deal with him so you can completely focus on your promotion. It’s the New Year and he’s still not boxing up his stuff – this means you’re stuck with him. He’s just as determined to keep his job as everyone else is so learn to co-exist.
Home. New year means another go at the dates — birthdays, anniversaries, etc., and these mean celebration for each one! Just remember to mark your calendar so you know when you’ll save up for the next big party!
