You love your dog. Your dog loves you….but sometimes…just sometimes…you both need a break. Why not set up a doggie playdate so that your dog can interact with a four legged friend, and you can spend a little time with another human being?

Sound like a winner?

Here are a few tips to help you get started…

  • Call a Friend - if you have friends with dogs, this is the easiest way to go about it. Plan an activity like an afternoon at the park, or dinner together (including the dogs).
  • Doggie Daycare - If you don’t have friends with dogs, you might want to consider letting your four legged friend spend some time at the local doggie daycare. You can run your errands in peace, or spend time with some of your non-dog loving friends, and your pup can have a good time too.
  • Online Dog Communities - There are several online communities for dog lovers. From groups on Yahoo to Craigslist classified ads, a friend for your dog is only a few mouse clicks away.
  • Classified Ads - Not into online groups or online classifieds? Well, then take a look at your local paper. The Classified section is a great place to meet non-techie dog lovers and set up a get together.

Social interaction is important to dogs (and it’s important to you too, don’t forget) so get out there and have some fun!
