Target

What are the things you feel you are yet to do, to have, to achieve? Life usually shows us that you have to work hard for the things you need, and even harder for the things you want. If you want more than what you have now, it’s time to focus your mind on building your future. Here are a few point to help you work towards achieving your goals.

Make a wish list.

Enumerate the things you’ll swear you’ll reach before you die (or before you retire). Narrowing down your goals into a comprehensive group of objectives will make it easier for you to strategize your way towards achieving them. List the things you want according to value, so that you will know what to prioritize. Alongside each goal, indicate a realistic date on which you think you might achieve that goal. This will help you set your mind on getting your goals, one at a time.

Set your mind to it.

with your wish list finalized, be sure to stick to it no matter what. Revise it only when totally necessary, and not upon impulse. Along the way, you may want more things. But don’t instantly add them on your list. Your list should be a sacred enumeration of well-thought out plans. If you get distracted on your goals, you will lose significant time.

Know your strengths.

Ask yourself what are the things you have that can help you achieve your goals? Do you have financial security? Are you naturally gutsy? How do you take on a challenge? Your assets are your resources. Take advantage of the good things you already have and use them to get what you want.

Know your weaknesses.

Of course, a wise person acknowledges (if not to the public, then at least to himself) his weaknesses. If you know your bad points, you’ll know exactly where to improve yourself so that you can mold yourself into being the best you can hope to be. Invest on self-improvement activities which will help you achieve more things.
