Rusty Battery

Many of us need have so many things to deal with over the course of a regular day that energy becomes an issue. While some people are naturally lethargic, some just don’t pack enough juice to go about their other daily chores. Here are some tips on how to keep up with the day’s work and still have some juice left in your tank.

Work in Bursts

Just like athletes, you may find yourself performing better when you do things in short bursts. If you find doing a chore taxing, say cleaning the bathroom, try to set a time limit to it. If you start to reach the time limit, start wrapping up. Chances are you would’ve already done a considerable part of the chore.

Pay Attention to Your Diet

Not because you lack energy means you have to pack in more calories. Your weight and slow metabolism may even contribute to your sluggishness. Being overweight robs you of your optimal energy levels.

Get Some Sun

If you begin to be too pale from the lack of exposure from the sun, try to get out some more. Do some activity under the sun. Enjoy the weather. Not only would lift your mood, activity would even help your circulation.

Pick Up a Hobby

Sometimes, being sluggish and lethargic can come from not just having interest in whatever you’re doing. So why not try to shake things up a bit and try to do something that you’ve always wanted to do. If you’ve always wanted to learn karate or gardening, start doing it now. You’ll be amazed how your enthusiasm carries over to your other chores.

Put Down the Remote

Yes, literally. If you insist on being a bum, try this out. Don’t use the remote. Let channel surfing be a chore. Stand up and manually change the channels. Sooner or later you’d get frustrated watching the TV and start doing other things.

Erase Your Worries

Worrying too much bogs you down. Try to think more positively on how things will work out. Worrying just makes you sulk. So have a positive outlook on life and get that extra boost.
