Marble flooring and counter tops are really classy. However, one drawback is that marble easily stains and scars. Here are some care tips for marble surfaces around your home.

Use coasters under drinking glasses to prevent having circular stains coming from precipitate. Should any spill happen, make sure that you immediately wipe the surface dry.

Avoid dragging furniture across marble floors. It’s a surefire way to scratch and damage the surface. You can always protect heavy-traffic areas with rugs.

Still, prevention can only go so far. You will still need to do some added care if you would want to maintain a good marble surface. Make sure that you don’t let dust accumulate on the surface. For floors, you can damp mop it with water and some mild detergent.
