This one’s a neat trick with geek stuff (science) working for you. Ever drank a lukewarm can of beer or soda. Yelch. Nothing like some cold brews to chill you out, particularly on a hot day. If all you have is some lukewarm cans, here’s something you can do for a quick fix.

What you need:

• A bowl of water
• Some ice
• A handful of salt
• Your beer or soda cans

What to do:

• Put some ice cubes in a bowl of water
• Add a handful of salt to the iced water. Adding salt lowers the freezing point of the water making it a better cooling agent. Thermodynamics, baby!
• Put and leave the cans in the bowl. Stir around and leave it there for 2 minutes.
