Common colds just plain suck. It’s not like you’re dying but being down and out with the sniffles feels like you are. Amazing how humanity has sent probes in outer space but hasn’t found a cure for the common cold. Medicine that we have today are only to alleviate your condition against all the nasty symptoms but it doesn’t really kill the virus. So what you can do is just let it run its course. Here are 5 tips on dealing with that nasty colds.
Rest. Try to have as much rest as possible. Don’t even try to come to work with a cold. Not only are you way unproductive, but you might . Rest also builds up you body’s resistance and speeds up recovery.
Drink lots of fluid. Lots of water and fruit juices help.
Eat light You might find a light diet a little more bearable that loading yourself up. Besides, if you have a clogged or runny nose, you won’t be able to taste and enjoy much of the food anyway.
Keep yourself warm. Have ample clothing to cover you and keep you warm. Keep dry and avoid exposure to changes in temperature and drafts.
Take some colds medicine to relieve difficulty in breathing, clogged or runny nose, and a sore throat. As always, check up with your doctor for any intake of medication.
