We've tried shining a spotlight at the entrance. We tried caulking up the exit after they left at night but the caulk didn't dry fast enough and they chewed right through it. We tried lining the landing strip with contact paper thinking maybe they would stick, but that didn't work either. My husband came up with the idea of lining a 3 X 3 piece of cardboard with flypaper strips. We caught five bats the first night we tried it and seven bats the next night. We're hoping to try again this weekend. I'm not sure how long it will take because we have no idea how many are up there. We’ve been trying to get rid of the bats in our roof for two years now.
