The musty smell can be associated with a lot of different possible problems in your car but the culprit is all the same - moisture in the cabin. With that in mind, you just have to know why is there water inside your car. Leaks and body rusting and damage are the most common reasons why water gets in. Or perhaps you spilled water inside the car. Driving in flooded terrain and slush can also cause water to seep in from gaps.
