One of my favorite summer treats is a tall glass of iced tea. It’s really a summer drink. Drink it to quench thirst after an afternoon of summer activities. Have it at your side for sips while reading a book. Here’s how you can make your own citrus ice tea.
What you need:
- 3 tea bags
- 1 gallon water
- 6 ounces of orange juice
- 5 lemons (or about 10 tbsps of lemon juice)
- honey or 2 1/2 cups o sugar
What to do:
- Boil the water and pour over tea bags in a container.
- Steep the tea bags for 10-15 minutes. Remove tea bags after.
- Let mixture cool down from boiling to warm.
- Add the orange juice, lemon juice, and sugar (if you won’t be using honey). Stir until sugar is dissolved.
- Chill in the refrigerator and serve with ice and honey (if still unsweetened).
