Sometimes, the trick to a low-fat diet is substitution. With all the health freaks in the world, manufacturers have made low-fat, lite, or fat-free versions of our favorite treats. if you’re a dieter, you probably would know how it is a big bummer to skip desserts for its sugars and high calorie content. You don’t really have to skip them, just find a way to trim down on calories. Here’s a recipe for a low-fat banana parfait.
What you need:
- 1 8 ounce container of low-fat banana flavored yogurt
- 1 ripe banana, peeled and sliced
- Coffee liqueur to taste
- Ground cinnamon
- Mint
What to do:
- Just mix the yogurt with the sliced banana.
- Mix the cinnamon in the coffee liqueur. Drizzle some coffee liqueur to taste. Note: Drizzle don’t drench. You only need some for flavor.
- If you’re going to make coffee liqueur, try substituting plain sugar with honey for a healthier treat.
- Garnish with a sprig of mint.
- Serve chilled or frozen.
