Desserts=fat? Not necessarily. With the heck of a lot of food products for the diet-conscious out there, there are a lot of low-fat, if not, fat-free desserts that you can make for yourself and your family. Yeah, and not be too guilt-ridden for enjoying dessert too.
Anyway, here’s one recipe for a low-fat strawberry delight. Great for a quick one.
What you need:
- 16 ounces of low-fat/fat-free pound cake
- 1 container low-fat frozen strawberry yogurt
- 1-2 pint fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
- NOTE: It’s quite difficult to make the crust by yourself, as it typically calls for sugar and butter - fat! Buying a low-fat pound cake assures you that it’s got less fat than making it on your own.
What to do:
- Make sure your oven has been pre-heated at 400*F.
- Place the pound cake in the oven for around 8-10 minutes. You want to get it to toast.
- Top with frozen yogurt.
- Typical sized pound cakes can serve around 8 people.
