Rice

Plain rice is good too eat. But what can make it better is flavoring it. Seasoned rice goes along with meat and chicken dishes since the spices and the dish’s flavor complement each other well. Here’s a quick recipe on making homemade seasoned-rice mix.

What you need:

  • 3 cups uncooked rice
  • 1/2 cup dried parsley flakes
  • 6 tbsps chicken/beef bouillon powder
  • 2 tsps onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp dried thyme

What to do:

Mix all the ingredients and store in a dry airtight container.

To cook:

  • In a saucepan, mix 1 cup of the mix with 2 tbsps of butter, and 2 cups of water.
  • Bring to a boil and cover.
  • Reduce heat to a simmer.
  • Simmer for 15 minutes or until the rice is tender.
