Work can be so stressful, and that goes for a work that you really enjoy too. It’s something that can’t be helped. You might be taking all your vitamins and still feel exhausted at the end of the day. And you just really want a time out. But how do you get one?
Pause. Nobody is telling you to stop all that good work you’re doing and the progress that you’re developing into your work. But every now and then you have to pause for a short while. The brain can work faster after a short little break of 5-10 minutes of purely relaxing thoughts like, what color will you paint your nails tonight? or which lingerie are you buying this weekend?
Refill. Whatever happens, drink your water. Nothing leaves you feeling more tired than being also dehydrated at the same time. Water recharges your body and your mood to a more cheerful level.
Poetry. Is not just for geniuses. Poetry is therapeutic. A good poetry is just what you need on a regular busy day. Reading and appreciating poetry slows things down so you can feel calmed, giving you the break you need before resuming your work.
Chat. Not necessarily online. It pays to notice the people around you for a while. Sometimes they’re saying interesting things when you’re not paying attention. Would you miss the latest news in the office? Of course not! Ask them what’s going on!
Call or text a loved one. It’s not called a “lifeline” for nothing. Sometimes in the middle of deadlines, a loved one’s voice / words of encouragement and motivation is just what you need to go on. They remind you why you’re doing such a hard work, therefore recharging your body battery which can make you go for longer hours of more work, but less furrowed brows and a bit of smile!
Happy working should mean you should be happy while working so follow all these easy rules. Being in a cheerful mood during work enables you to do more work with less stress.
