With today’s very demanding workplace and a much more demanding lifestyles, you can just run out of energy in the middle of whatever you’re doing. The trick to be always on the go is properly manage your energy. Here are a few tips to help you to properly use your juice.
Sleep
Sleep is the time our body repairs itself. So better get at least 8 hours of sleep. If this isn’t always possible, then rest when you can. Power naps during the day can keep you going through the day even without a proper night’s sleep.
Get your vitamins
A balanced diet is always the best way to go. This means that you get your calories and the proper nutrients naturally. However, if you can’t assure yourself that you get all the needed vitamins and minerals, go get some multivitamins to supplement your lack.
Beware of crash diets
Unfortunately, there’s also the stress of looking good that we have to deal with in the course of our busy lives. Crash diets are sometimes the quick and dirty way to lose weight. However, this can also mean that you’re not getting in enough calories to power your hectic lifestyle. So if you plan to diet in the midst of a busy schedule, consult your doctor/dietician for a good diet schedule.
Exercise and stretch
Exercise pumps the blood and helps the body produce endorphines and adrenaline to keep you active. There are certain exercises that would not tax your energy reserves. If exercise is not possible, do a bit of stretching. Here’s a quick 60-second stretch routine just to get your blood flowing. Lack of blood flow (therefore lack of oxygen to your organs) can stifle your metabolism too.
Stay off smoking and drinking
You don’t need anything else to bog you down. Smoking damages the respiratory system - an important part to your body’s food to energy conversion process. Likewise with drinking. It may sometimes be so tempting to just smoke and drink your worries away but these would only leave you a lot more wasted to begin with. So stop sapping your strength.
Think positive
There’s such a thing as mind over matter. Thinking positive may help you tap your inner strength. A word of caution though, don’t force your body to its breaking point. You may get the job done, but to what cost?
