Speakers

Did you know that music can help one relax? Sure, loud, head-banging rock can have its use during those angry-at-the-world times. But sometimes, it helps more to sit down and try to block the rat-paced events of the day by listening to some healing music.

Select the appropriate music. There are a lot of genres out there, but pick songs that soothe your mind and relax your body. Some suggestions are Instrumentals, acoustic, choir or vocals.

Arrange the songs according to what listening experience you want to have. You might try some soft flute music at the beginning so as to let yourself get accustomed to the experience. Then build the mood to a more lilting tune if you wish to achieve an uplifting of spirits.

Use speakers instead so that your feet and body can feel the sounds vibrate to make it a more holistic experience.

Relax. Wear comfortable clothes and go barefoot. Stand, sit or lie down, just as long as you let the tension in your body drain away. Breathe.

Make time for it. Do not multi-task as you listen. Just let it be your world for ten to fifteen minutes. Keep away distractions.

Allow the music to reach to your mind and inner feelings. Respond if you must. If you feel like dancing, or humming, then do it.

And at the end of the music, don’t forget to relish the silence a bit.
