I’ve been doing a lot of typing lately for my term papers for my graduate class. Working too long on the keyboard eventually makes my hands stiff and tense. Simple hand stretching exercises help in relaxing them. Here are some simple techniques on how to stretch and relax them:
- Rest one hand on the palm of the other just between the thumb and the other fingers. Massage the inside with the thumb and the outside of one hand with the rest of your fingers.
- Hold up one hand and press the fingers of your other hand against it. Bend back your wrist gently. Hold it for five seconds.
- Gently pull down your thumb until you feel a nice comfortable stretch . Hold it again for five seconds.
- Clench your fist tightly, hold it, then release. Stretch you fingers wide as you could when you release. Repeat it five times.
- Do it with the other hand.
