Now this is a real nifty trick. If you’ve been too drunk to have punched the cork into the bottle and the morning after, you decided that the bottle’s a keeper and you may want to reuse it. But you taking out the cork seems to be impossible without smashing glass. Then you won’t have a bottle anymore. But you can go MacGyver and take the cork out with a plastic bag without breaking the bottle.

What you need:

• A bottle with a cork stuck in it
• A plastic bag

What to do:

• Crimp a plastic bag so that you can slide it in the bottle until the bottom part of the bag goes in more than halfway the bottle’s length
• Tilt the bottle so that the cork falls next to the plastic bag just right at the bottle’s neck
• Blow into the plastic bag to inflate it
• Twirl the upper portion of the bag to “seal” it
• Notice that the inflated portion of the bag inside the bottle will “smother” the cork
• Pull the bag out and watch the cork slide out with it
