How do you achieve serenity at the end of every day after a long day of work comprised of meetings and presentations? The most common hassles such as traffic, noise pollution, sudden rain, or a bad joke can instantly put you in a bad mood.
Chronic stress is long-lasting and greatly affects you mentally and psychologically. When you suddenly notice yourself getting crankier almost immediately due the smallest of things, you know you are in danger of chronic stress. This could lead to medical problems like allergies, mental disorder, depression, hypertension, diabetes, stroke, and also heart attack. Take control of your activities and also your life by finding ways to be happy despite all the everyday hassles.
When something really frustrating happens to you, don’t indulge in depression. Instead, analyze what went wrong. Why waste your time by feeling sorry about yourself when you can have a good leap forward if you only develop a resilient attitude towards rejection. Just think, everyone gets rejected at least once in their lives and that’s just normal. The key is knowing how to move forward after being pulled back.
Indulge in guilty pleasures every once in while. When you feel like you need a breath of fresh air, head for the nearest salon and get a pedicure or a hair treatment. Go out for a jog around the neighborhood and for once forget your deadlines. If you are keeping a time management program wherein your appointments are neatly scheduled, there’s no need to be constantly thinking about your deadlines. Just put a big calendar on the wall which you can refer to when you need a reminder, instead of getting your mind all muddled up of dates.
