News. Kind of. Just got this bit from. It’s quite challenging to be on top of all the news especially when this blog covers a wide range of topic. But I think this is some nice week-old news to share with you.

The title might be misleading as the Mac has been into gaming but it’s not doing quite as well as the PC since many gaming outfits refuse to port for Mac. But this might not be the case anymore.

Mac might just have a DirectX version for games to run on Mac. Meaning no more waiting if some gaming outfit will take the risk in porting games to OSX. Mac will be able to run them PC games.

But the PC’s edge could be a thing of the past if TransGaming and Nvidia have it their way. Together, they’re working on a way to bring PC games to the Mac the second they’re released. They reckon they can do this by creating a Mac version of Microsoft’s Direct3D, which would rely on TransGaming’s Cider engine and Nvidia’s CgFX graphics system.
