Mac released its update to OS X to patch 45 bugs in the OS and other apps that come with it. This includes Adobe’s Flash player, MySQL Server and OpenSSH. Apple indicated that 2/3 of the flaws could lead to “arbitrary code execution.”

Together with the patches, Apple also released Version 10.4.9 of OS X with a few goodies and tweaks. It’s the 9th upgrade since Tiger (10.4) released in April 2005. 10.4.9 features

  • improved application launch speed
  • enhanced Dashboard stability
  • support for the RAW image format
  • mouse scrolling and keyboard shortcuts
  • last-minute daylight-saving time changes
