Shortcuts make life much easier. Being a keyboard ninja, I’m a bid fan of keyboard shortcuts. Here’s a very quick and easy tip to create your own keyboard shortcuts in Mac OS X.

  • Access System Preferences -> Keyboard and Mouse -> “Keyboard Shortcuts” tab
  • Click the “+” sign at the bottom.
  • From the drop-down list, select Finder
  • Type the exact name of the menu command that you want.
NOTE: A finder command would be anything under the “File” menu when you have the Finder selected.
  • Type in the shortcut you want
  • Click the add button.
