Microsoft tries to encourage more users to switch to Vista by handing out aids to help out in the transition.
For those concerned with backward compatibility, they launched Virtual PC 2007. This would allow Vista to run alongside other OSes. Find out more about Microsoft Virtual PC 2007 here.
And to aid business deployment, Bill’s guys put out Microsoft Solution Accelerator for Business Desktop Deployment 2007. This allows makes guidance, sample templates, and technology files available to users.
And finally, for those concerned with hardware and compatibility, here’s Windows Vista Hardware Assessment. It’s an auditing tool that determines whether the machine can run Vista. Details about the Hardware Assessment tool can be found here.
But if Vista promises to be such a great OS, then why the heck would users need all of these tools, right? Oh yeah, Microsoft isn’t dummy friendly. Then again, computing generally isn’t.
