Party

If you are in a startup business, you know what you have to do: market your business. Let’s say you are selling ladies’ bags and blouses but you just want it home-based because you don’t want the hassles and financial considerations of renting a commercial space, can you think of an ingenious way to promote your new gig.

Why not hold a party? This is no ordinary party. This is a master plan aimed at promoting and marketing your new business. It’s a business strategy.

Guests. It’s all about the guests. For once invite more people. If in the past you have only been inviting those closest to you, now you need more people. More people means more customers. Your goal is to spread the word fast that you’re selling this or you’re offering that kind of service.

Promotional materials. Design a flyer or a brochure of the products/services you’re offering and make sure to give each one a copy on their way out. You can also give more than one copy to some so that they can share your flyers with those who weren’t in your party. Also make sure that your flyer contains your contact details for potential customers.

Make a presentation. If you’re hesitant about making a presentation because it might be a drag, then think up a creative way for a presentation. If you’re selling apparel, you can put up a very brief and informal fashion show. Or if it’s a service, you can set up demonstrations or free trials so your customers won’t forget your business.
