And Google continues to deliver. Google Docs and Spreadsheets just got a spiffy new look and I’m loving it.
The once lame documents list is now sporting an Explorer-type folders and documents allowing you to see how your documents are organized. Folders have replaced your tags. For some reason, it brings familiarity back to management. I remember that Google used to flaunt tags as the new way to organize things (especially with mail) but it seems like they’ve realized that it’s still folders and files for documents.
The slick interface allows you quick access to just about everything you have there, even to links with your collaborators and your shared documents. And lookie here, it’s even got a more visible Trash option to collect files that you don’t need anymore.
For all you keyboard ninjas, here’s a list of Google Docs keyboard shortcuts that you can learn and master.
