Looking for that Visio killer? Here’s Gliffy for you.

Gliffy is a web-based online application that lets you draw great looking diagrams, flowcharts and floorplans on your web browser. You can even conceptualize web page wireframes with this app. That means no need to invest and install expensive software like Visio if all your work. Plus, the fact that it’s web-based (lets you store drawings on their server) lets you access the program online from anywhere.

It also has collaborative and sharing capabilities which means this adds to the list of online apps that lets you work together remotely. Best for telecommuters and offshore collaboration sessions.

One comment though, it may not be something to be alarmed but it’s Flash-based and by experience, Flash-based apps suffer from inherent problems of the Flash player such as memory leaks and excessive use of virtual memory on Windows machines. But so far, as I’ve tried it out, it works smoothly without any causes of alarm whatsoever.
