I’m always a fan of those “for Dummies” books. While I know they’re probably the lousiest sources of hardcore information around, they’re not written for experts anyway. Hey, you’ve got to be a newbie for one thing, right? In any case, I’m not writing about how to write one of those things but on making a spoof cover.

Here’s the Dummies Book Cover Maker which lets you, just type in some text like the title, blurb, caption text, and edition number. You can even set for whom the book is like “for Dummies” or “for Newbies” (use your or friend’s name). You have a few options too on how the Dummy guy would look like. What you get after clicking the “Change the cover” button immediately generates the book cover with your custom text.

Pretty straight-up. And it really looks like the actual “for Dummies” book cover.
