Send To ‘Images’

If you’re a mouser then you might have explored much of the right-click menu to know that there’s a ‘Send To’ menu. It’s basically a sub-option that lets you “send” a file to a preset destination (to My Documents, covert it to ZIP, a removable drive…). Now if you happen to have some favorite destination, say, your archive folder for MP3s and other media perhaps, you may want to integrate it in the Send To menu, right?

Here’s a quick way to do it, without having to download anything:
Customize Send To

  • On Windows Explorer, click on Tools -> Folder Options -> View Tab
  • Make sure that the Show Hidden Files and Folders is enabled
  • Click OK
  • Navigate to C:\Documents and Settings\[user]\SendTo
  • Create a shortcut to your favorite application or folder
  • You may want to revert your Hidden Files and Folders setting

I created a shortcut to my “Images” folder and look, my Send To menu can deliver my files there.
